L/Certified, which is what Lexus calls certified pre-owned, combines the benefits of owning a new model with the value of a pre-owned model. These advantages include the following:

• Certification. Our factory-trained automotive technicians put the vehicle through a 161-point inspection to ensure that it meets the brand's high standards of quality, reliability, and customer confidence. Only vehicles that meet the above criteria will become L/Certified.

• Complimentary Maintenance. You're entitled to four factory-recommended free maintenance for two years of 20,000 miles, whichever comes first.

• Warranty. This benefit is the main reason for buying an L/Certified vehicle. You free yourself from worrying if the vehicle will continue to perform because the warranty addresses any issues. The Limited Warranty lasts for a minimum of 2 years or unlimited miles after the 4-year or 50,000 miles Basic Warranty expires. It can also last for two years from the date you bought or leased the L/Certified car, if this gives you more time before expiration.
  
  The warranty covers the repair or replacement of any parts that fall under normal use and has no deductible. Exclusions apply, but covered components include the engine, transmission, brakes (not including rotors and pads), steering, fuel system, climate control, and electrical systems.

• Loaner Car. If your L/Certified vehicle must remain overnight at our Service Department for a warranty repair that takes longer than 8 hours, you get a loaner car for up to 5 days at $50 a day.

• Roadside Assistance. Lasting two years after the expiration of the Basic Warranty or the purchase date, whichever comes later, you get roadside assistance. You're also covered for towing to the nearest dealer if a covered warranty condition causes the problem.

• Travel Protection. If a warranty condition produces an emergency over 100 miles from home with a repair time of over 8 hours, you receive overnight lodging and meals for a maximum of 3 nights at up to $200 a night. You also get substitute transportation up to a maximum of 5 days at up to $50 a day.

• SiriusXM® Trial. Just as if you were buying a new vehicle, you can take advantage of a three-month free trial of SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, which includes channels devoted to commercial-free music, live play-by-play sports, exclusive celebrity talk, and the latest weather.
